As a local body of Missionary Baptist Believers in Christ; with the Holy Spirit as our Keeper and the Holy Bible as our guide, lay claim to be the New Testament Church as presented in the Scriptures and shall be known as the Second Baptist Church of Bay City, Michigan.

Our Beliefs
Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior; and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now in the presence of God, angels and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.
Our History
In 1883, the love of God inspired a faithful few worshippers to establish a place of worship and a church family.
Our Pastor
Born in Shreveport, LA, Marcelle received his primary schooling in Nashville, TN and his secondary schooling in Saginaw, MI, graduating in 2004 with Honors from Arthur Hill High School.
He attended Florida A&M University, as a Presidential Scholar, where he graduated (2009), magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Marcelle served in various leadership roles in the School of Business & Industry. He also attended Vanderbilt University, where he earned a Master’s of Divinity Degree with a focus in Black Church Studies.
